Pressline

Terms of Use

Effective 22 September 2026. Covers thepressline.app and the Pressline apps for iOS and Android.

The short version. The Pressline is free, has no accounts and asks nothing of you. The scores come from a third-party feed, so they can lag or be corrected, and you should not treat them as an official record or bet on them. Use it, enjoy it, do not attack it.

Who you are agreeing with

The Pressline is operated by 31twelve Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 17455867, at 128 City Road, London EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom. Using the website or either app means you accept these terms. If you do not, please do not use them.

What the service is

A free football information service: fixtures, live scores, results, tables, squads, statistics and linked news headlines. There is nothing to buy, nothing to subscribe to and no account to create. We may change what it does, or stop offering it, at any time.

Accuracy, and what not to rely on this for

Scores, times, line-ups and statistics reach us from a third-party data provider and are shown as they arrive. They can be delayed by seconds or minutes, can be wrong, and are sometimes corrected after the event, which is normal for live football data and not something we control.

So, plainly:

  • this is not an official record of any match, competition or club, and where it disagrees with the competition organiser, the organiser is right
  • it is not betting advice and it is not a betting service, and you should not place or settle a bet on what you read here
  • the score you are looking at may not be the score right now

Match alerts

Alerts are optional and off until you switch them on. When they are on, delivery depends on Apple’s and Google’s notification services, your device and your connection, so we cannot promise that a notification will arrive, arrive once, or arrive on time. Treat a missed alert as expected behaviour rather than a fault, and open the app for the current state.

How you may use it

Use it for your own personal, non-commercial interest in football. Please do not:

  • scrape, crawl or bulk-download the content, or resell or redistribute it
  • call our API from anything other than our own website and apps, or in a way that degrades the service for other people
  • work around, disable or overload the rate limits, security or access controls
  • copy the site or apps, or hold them out as your own

We rate-limit the API and may block traffic that breaks these rules.

Who owns what

The design, code, wordmark and written content of The Pressline belong to 31twelve Ltd. Club badges, competition names and logos, player photographs and news headlines belong to their respective owners. We show them to identify a team, a competition or a story, under the terms of our data and news sources, and doing so claims no ownership and implies no endorsement by any club, league or publisher.

Links to other sites

News headlines open the publisher’s own website. We do not control those sites, we are not responsible for what they contain, and their terms and privacy policies apply once you leave us.

Availability

The service is provided as it is and as it is available. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free or available at any particular moment, and our data provider having an outage will look, from where you are sitting, exactly like us having one.

Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit. Nothing in them affects your rights as a consumer under UK law.

Beyond that, and because this is a free service, we are not liable for any loss you suffer by relying on the information here. That includes betting and gambling losses, missed events, and any business, commercial or financial loss.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The effective date at the top moves when we do, and continuing to use the service after that means you accept the change.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you may also bring proceedings in your own country.
